Upcoming Event: International Open Seminar on Hokusetsu Satoyama

The co-existence of people and Satoyama has been mirrored in the harmonious lifestyle with nature throughout Japan. Hokusetsu region (north of Hanshin region in Hyogo Prefecture) is one of the few remaining homes of well-managed Satoyama. In fall this year, an international seminar will be held to gather various stakeholders who have different interests in Satoyama and discuss on how to sustainably maintain this unique lifestyle.
