Dr Luis Tupas is the Deputy Chief for Soil Science and Resource Assessment at the US Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service. Dr Tupas provides leadership for addressing the scientific basis for conservation and sustainability science through research, national surveys of soil, snow, water, and other natural resources, inventories of US natural resources, and analyzing conservation practices, including soil and climate analysis. Dr Tupas has been affiliated with APN since 2004, serving as an SPG member and a national Focal Point. He has served on the SPG-SC, CDC (including SPG-SC and CDC Chairperson), and the SC of APN.
