Proceedings and Policy Brief of the South/Southeast Asia Science-Policy Dialogue on Climate Change - Low Carbon and Adaptation Initiatives in Asia
The Proceedings summarized the detail discussion and the Policy Brief summarized outcomes and recommendations of the South/Southeast Asia Science-Policy Dialogue under the theme of “Climate Change—Low Carbon and Adaptation Initiatives in Asia” held at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand from 6-8 February 2017. The two-day dialogue was co-organized by the APN, the Low Carbon Asia Research Network (LoCARNet), the Regional Resource Centre for Asia and the Pacific, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT/RRC.AP) and the Climate Change Asia (CCA) Initiative and was attended by scientists, policymakers and civil society representatives from Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Viet Nam, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Japan. The brief provides information on findings of the dialogue under three themes: science-policy interface, knowledge management, and communication and networking. Further, recommendations for a stronger science-policy-society interface and effective knowledge management and communication identified by participants are introduced.
