Proceeding and Policy Brief of the Third APN Science-Policy Dialogue on Global Environmental Change: "Land Use and Climate Change in Temperate East Asia"
|Description||The proceeding summarized the detail discussion and the policy brief summarized outcomes and recommendations of the third APN Science-Policy Dialogue under the theme of “Global Environmental Change—Land Use and Climate Change in Temperate East Asia” that held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 2-5 November 2015. The four-day dialogue was organized by APN with support from Ministry of Environment, Green Development and Tourism, Mongolian Academy of Sciences and Institute for Sustainable Development, National University of Mongolia and was attended by scientists and policy makers and civil society representative from Republic of China, Mongolia, Japan, Russian Federation, Republic of Korea and USA.
The brief provides information on findings of the dialogue under three themes; science-policy engagement, knowledge management, and communication. Further, it explains the research and capacity development needs in the area of land use and climate change in Temperate East Asia. National, regional, international recommendations provide an overview of future actions that identified by participants to address existing land use issues in the region.
