Project Summary
This project aims to create awareness and develop capacity of LGUs, communities and regional universities to effectively respond to climate change for sustainable development. It will be undertaken by a multi-disciplinary team of researchers who will conduct interview with LGU officials and community residents to assess the impacts of climate change; conduct lectures to raise people’s awareness about climate change; develop LGU-scientists partnership and assist LGUs and the communities located in selected high risk provinces in preparing climate change adaptation plans, policies and programs. Project results will be disseminated to other parts of the country and other climate change programmes.
