Institutional Response to Global Change: The Consequences of Interplay between International Regimes and Local Institutions for the Forests of Southeast Asia

This study focussed on the issues of institutional interplay by linking existing work on local institutions and environment relations with the new body of knowledge about international regimes for the forests of Southeast Asia. Ultimately, our analysis should enable us to draw some conclusions about the effects of this interplay on current forest conditions and how these interactions may evolve given alternative scenarios of global environmental change, and socio-political transformation in the region.
