Guide to the submission of Comprehensive Research Proposals for
Capacity Enhancement for Phase III of the CAPaBLE Programme on
Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability
The CAPaBLE Programme enhances scientific capacity in developing countries to improve their decision-making in target areas related to global change (as relevant to the APN under its 2nd Strategic Plan) that are directly linked to their sustainable development.
The APN is inviting proposals for funding and is able to provide financial support for Comprehensive Research Projects (CRPs) that will run for up to 3 years during Phase III of the CAPaBLE Programme from April 2009. Projects that will run for 1 or 2 years are also eligible; however, priority will be given to longer-term projects.
The Call for Comprehensive Research Proposals specifically targets capacity enhancement of leading researchers in developing countries to produce comprehensive scientific information on climate change impacts, adaptation and vulnerability which are made available for policy-makers in developing countries and which will contribute to international scientific exercises such as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

Proposals must be submitted electronically in MS WORD FORMAT to facilitate processing and review. Do not submit proposals in PDF Format.
