This project seeks to demonstrate to the policy makers at the local level how to estimate climate change damage costs (both ‘how much' and ‘on whom') and to decide the kind of investments for different adaptation measures. The intended results will assist policy/decision-makers to identify issues, options, needs and probable cost estimates in making appropriate decisions, thus assisting in informed decision-making . Insurance companies will also benefit from the project as they will be better able to incorporate potential uncertainties in their risk estimation and insurance schemes. The project also aims to improve informed decision-making through research and dissemination of the outcome to decision/policy-makers, and enhance collaboration between scientists and policy/decision-makers.
