Programme Fellow (SCIENTIFIC AFFAIRS)
As part of the APN's capacity building efforts, the Secretariat would like to extend an invitation to highly motivated young professionals interested in applying for the position of Programme Fellow for Scientific Affairs, for the Kobe Office.
Ideal candidates should have strong English ability, both spoken and written, be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and have an undergraduate degree related to global change with science background and work experience in relevant areas of at least three years. Interest in global change is highly expected. Candidates must also be able to meet tight deadlines and be highly organized.
The Programme Fellow for Scientific Affairs will assist the Scientific Officer in the implementation, administration and management of the APN's scientific activities, in particular, the APN's annual calls for proposals, project management and the APN's capacity development programme.
Conditions:
Hours : 7.5 hours/day, 5 days (Monday to Friday, exclusive National Holidays in Japan)/week.
Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, National holidays in Japan, December 29-31, January 2 and 3 shall be holidays.
Paid Vacation : 20 days annual leave, plus five days in the summer (July-September)
