SBSTA Research Dialogue Report Features Recent Work of APN

APN’s recent work on adaptation to climate change and slow onset events was highlighted in the recently published report of the eighth meeting of the SBSTA Research Dialogue (RD 8).

The Research Dialogue was held at the 44th session of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) of the United Nations climate convention UNFCCC. The Dialogue is expected to inform SBSTA of the developments in research activities relevant to the needs of UNFCCC.

APN highlighted two adaptation-related activities from its portfolio of 422 research and capacity-building projects conducted since its establishment, of which 127 focus on adaptation. The projects are examples of how scientists and policy makers interact in addressing resilience challenges, and how APN activities contributed to enhancing national capacity and raising the awareness of the importance of regional collaboration in addressing common challenges.
